Does the terminology taint the excprienee with WordPress? ABSOLUTELY! I've only been using WordPress for 4 months and I'm becoming extremely proficient. But the terminology was a very unnecessary barrier EVEN FOR NON-SAVVY USERS!!! Just as a basic blog, WordPress terminology falls flat on its face. Post types WHAT??? Its a Content Type, people. Get with it. And Sidebars WHAT!? Its a Widget Area or Widget Container or Widget Region. This stuff really added unnecessary adjustment having to research and then constantly remind myself Its a post' post-type and this is a page' post-type. and sidebar can appear anyway and take any form Moreover, themes are definitely NOT themes . This has been a pitfall even for security-concerned people. When you think of a theme, you don't think of security. But since a theme is capable of doing everything *and more* that a plugin can do, themes ought to be treated with a serious respect as full-on web programs. They should have called them Platforms or something more generic or used some goofy double word like Skin&Codez Seriously, these terms are archaic from the very early days of WP and Automattic would change them if they were savvy enough about making people realize how to properly use WordPress. We've got numerous developers who even start out using WordPress all wrong because the terms communicate the wrong ideas about how to use the platform.Also, I used Drupal for a while when starting out examining platforms to try. Drupal is an over-engineered heap of metal trying to be all things. And WordPress's archaic terminology is barring people from realizing that it absolutely blows the doors off Drupal because of its simplicity and open-ended design not trying to be anything fancy. WordPress works well because it assumes you're going to want to add on significantly or even use it in ways not intended. Its not heavy-handed. |

I like this post. I am avid Indian railway telarver and observer. In true sense Indian railway symbolize the real India. Our train not only connects the two cities or states but it also connects two culture in the same way how we are connected in real life. Look at that in this way, Every train has 1st AC compartment (This is for affluent rich people who couldn窶冲 get the flight tickets) This people lives in their own world .they speak less to co-passenger and read novels and listen music, Then comes 2nd Ac compartments ( for the rich people ) they lives in their laptop and talks about business and Indian economy. Then comes 3rd AC (upper middle class) they are more into mobile music or novels , they talk to people in there cubical only. But they have their success story to share. Then comes 2nd class /Sleeper class (middle class people) . As like Indian demography you will find all Indian train having more sleeper class than AC coaches. You will find real India here. People has variety of topics to discuss about. They drink tea and offer u tea if you become there friend. They talk with entire compartments. And you find them constantly fighting with beggars. They like to eat everything that any railway vendor selling near their window. Those who are traveling in waiting list ticket is always running behind ticket checker in hope to get confirm birth. They struggle for many things with smile on their face. And last but the not the least 窶賂eneral class 窶� (mainly for poor people) those who just wanted to travel between two points without any comfort . It窶冱 hard to look at their face. You can see many eyes without any hopes or dreams. All they wants in life is food, shelter and cloths. Cheapest way of entertainment for them is Sex. You want find anyone carrying laptop or novels here. They just want to cover distance with thoughts in head. So, It窶冱 not the journey of the train but the journey of the nation ,Connection of two culture. If you travel from north to east or east to south or south to east or east to north . people change ,Culture changes but the India inside the Indian remains the same.
